Hi Joey: Long time no see. It's great to see what you're doing here for the families of Camp Sunshine. You're growing up to be quite the young man. Still have the coronet "My Paully" gave you a few years ago? "My Paully" and I are too old to take the plunge - our hearts might stop. But you can count on a pledge from us this year. If you don't remember "My Paull", ask your Mom. She thinks he's her Paully!!! Keep up the good work.
By eight years old, Joey Cerato had lost his grandfather to cancer and seen his father survive cancer. At the age of nine, Joey wanted to create a charity to help those facing serious illnesses. On a cold winter morning, January 1, 2006, Joey, now age eleven, saw his dream become a reality with Joey's Polar Plunge. His goal was to raise $1,500 to sponsor a family to attend Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, in Casco, Maine. Joey exceeded everyone's expectations by raising nearly $6,000. That was just the beginning.
The intent of this page is to keep you informed of the progress of Joey's Polar Plunge.
